The guys over at
HotHardware have managed to get a sneak peak at Intel’s new
gaming platform, Skulltrail
Skulltrail is built around server class hardware, that has been reconfigured for the gaming market.

The new motherboard featured in the pictures will support dual quad core Penryn Xeon processors, SLI, and has four PCIe slots.

It also features six USB ports, six SATA ports, dual eSata ports, Firewire and
Gigabit Ethernet
.
From the looks of the specs this is going to be an amazing platform to build some serious gaming PC’s on and I suspect this isn’t going to be cheap either.
